Content not showing while on correct HDMI

Summary: This document will help walk through the basic troubleshooting steps for devices which are not displaying content while plugged into the correct HDMI or Optical Port. We will step through restarting the device, double checking the hardware set up, and resetting connections. 


Quick Check: Ensure your device has the HDMI extender attached to it as this ensure a smooth connection to many types of TVs and Monitors. Check that your device is powered on by finding a green light on the device itself. 


Troubleshooting Steps Option A:

  1. Set your TV to the HDMI port you expect to see content on
  2. Unplug the power from the Citadel Player and count to 5. After this plug the player back into power and ensure the green light comes back on. 
  3. At this point you should see the Citadel Menu Appear

Troubleshooting Steps Option B:

  1. Set your TV to the HDMI port you expect to see content on
  2. Unplug both the power and HDMI of the Citadel Device from your TV or Monitor
  3. Plug the HDMI from the Device back into the extender and then the TV. Ensure a tight connection.
  4. Finally Plug the Power back into the device and check that the green light is showing
  5. At this point you should see the Citadel Menu Appear
